Availability Reality
As the 1336 PLUS drives reach end-of-life, availability is becoming increasingly limited. According to Siemens, the last production run was in 2016, leading to a scarcity of genuine parts.
How to Source/Part-Number Check
When sourcing 1336 spares, it's crucial to verify part numbers. Use Siemens' official part-number lookup tool or consult the technical manual for accurate identification. With the decreasing availability, alternative sourcing is essential.
Replacement/Migration Options
Replacement options include migrating to newer models like the PowerFlex series. This migration often requires changes to the control system and may involve additional engineering work. According to a 2021 survey by Control Engineering, 60% of engineers report migration as a common challenge.
